Child Health Clinic

We are offering appointment only clinics for people who are worried about their baby or child’s development and for those that need to see a health visitor. Please give us a call or email us. Depending on your needs you will receive phone support or been seen face to face. You can also find lots of information, advice and support on our website.

Infant feeding Clinic

Baby Massage – Referral Only

Baby massage is a 4 week course for parents where you can learn how to massage different parts of your baby’s body. Massage can help your baby with the symptoms of colic, aid digestion and regulate their sleep.

Developing Toddler

A welcoming group where children aged 12 months – 3 years can experience fun activities which help their physical and mental wellbeing, with each week focusing on a different area of your toddlers development.

No need to book. Just drop in!

Due to building works, Developing Toddler at St Edmunds will be relocating to Zig Zags, 32 Market Street Torquay TQ1 3AQ 8JG from 7th November – 19th December – 10am-11.30am.

Supporting a solid start

Would you like additional support with starting your baby on solid food? If your baby is over 6 months old we are offering monthly sessions at Turning Heads in Torquay.

Supporting a Solid Start: For families who need support with introducing solid food to their baby. These are referral only monthly sessions for babies over 6 months old. There will be support provided from Community Nursery Nurses and food provided for babies to try. Talk to your health visiting team or contact our advice line on 0300 333 5352 to book your space.

Solihull Course

Need support to understand your child’s behaviour?

Why not take a bit of time to think about being a parent, meet other parents and find out lots of great information about what is going on inside your child’s brain and how this affects their behaviour.

Understanding your child is a course for all parents, grandparents and carers of children aged 6 months to 6 years.

The course covers:

  • How your child develops.
  • Understanding how your child is feeling.
  • Tuning in to what your child needs.
  • Responding to how your child is feeling.
  • Different styles of parenting.
  • Having fun together.
  • The rhythm of interaction.
  • Why is sleep important?
  • Self-regulation and anger.
  • Communication and tuning in.
  • Looking back and looking forwards.

The Children's Society - Wellbeing Drop-In
