    Speech and Language Therapy Service Online - Drop in sessions for advice and support

    A virtual 10 minute drop-in for parents of children 3 and under and professionals who are concerned about their speech, language, and communication development.

    All families will be given advice and/or ideas to try at home.

    • The therapist will see that you are in the waiting area and will join the video room when they are ready.
    • Please be aware there may be a wait for you to be seen dependent on the number of people trying to access the drop-in at a time.

    Neurodiversity Parent Support Program - Transitions

    This session will help you to understand:

    • What we mean by transitions and the range of transitions encountered
    • The impact of transitions on the education and wellbeing of autistic children and young people and the reasons they may require specific enhanced transition support.
    • How to support autistic children and young people effectively with transitions.

    This workshop takes places at Parkfield House.

    In this session we will help you to understand what we mean by transitions and the range of transitions encountered by children and young people.

    Finally we will discuss how to support autistic children and young people effectively with transitions.

    Little Explorers

    The Barn, Brixham Enterprise Estate, Rea Barn, Brixham, TQ5 9DF

    The themes of the group during term times will change weekly, with this order being followed:
    1. Exploratory Play
    2. Physical Fun
    3. Messy Play
    4. Explore a Story
    5. Yoga

    No need to book, just drop in.

    This session is aimed at children aged 1 and over.

    During the school holidays, we will run one these sessions within the community.

    We would love to hear some feedback on your experiences of the new group. When you attend, please speak to a member of staff to share your thoughts.

    No Rush To Mush

    Would you like more information on when and how to start your baby on solid food? If so, come along to one of our drop in information sessions held each month at our Feed and Nurture Groups. A Community Nursery Nurse will be there with resources and to talk through the process. Please come along If you have any questions or worries about starting solids.

    No need to book – just turn up!

    Bounce and Rhyme

    Bounce & Rhyme Wednesdays 11am at Torquay Library. A free event which encourages parents, grandparents, carers and guardians to meet at the library and spend time with others. Babies and adults join in with singing favourite nursery rhymes, using language and musical instruments plus sensory toys to help with their development.
