These events run every week across Torbay.

Little Explorers

The themes of the group during term times will change weekly, with this order being followed:
1. Exploratory Play
2. Physical Fun
3. Messy Play
4. Explore a Story
5. Yoga

No need to book, just drop in.

This session is aimed at children aged 1 and over.

During the school holidays, we will run one these sessions within the community.

We would love to hear some feedback on your experiences of the new group. When you attend, please speak to a member of staff to share your thoughts.

    What is PEEP?

    Peep supports all parents and carers with children from pregnancy to school, in encouraging their child’s learning and development. You can make a real difference just by talking, playing, singing and sharing books together. Come along – you can your baby or child can make friends, share ideas and activities, and have fun…

    In the group you will get

    • a warm welcome and meet other parents and children
    • tips and activity ideas for things to do in the group and at home
    • singing and stories
    • tips on supporting your child’s learning

    They’re all free or low-cost, and easy to fit into day-to-day life, and they’ll all help your baby or child’s learning.

    Where:

    The Windmill Centre, Pendennis Road, Torquay, TQ2 7QR

    When:

    Every Wednesday, 10am – 12pm.

    Neurodiversity Parent Support Program - Autism and Anxiety: Session 2

    In this session:

    • Review anxiety – how it works and what triggers it and how we can support regulation of the nervous system.
    • How can we support neurodivergent young people to recognise what they are feeling (interoception) and take daily action to turn the volume down on their anxiety/reduce stress levels?
    • What is masking? Why does it happen an what does it look like? Pros and cons.
    • What are meltdowns? How are masking and meltdowns connected? Can meltdowns be prevented? Strategies for minimising and managing.

    Baby Weigh In Clinic

    This is a drop in Well Baby clinic run by our 0 to 19 Torbay health visiting team and takes place every Friday, 9:30am – 11:30am.
