We are offering appointment only clinics for people who are worried about their baby or child’s development and for those that need to see a health visitor. Please give us a call or email us. Depending on your needs you will receive phone support or be seen face to face. You can also find lots of helpful information, advice and support on our Family Hub website.

A weekly session with a rolling programme of development and behaviour support for parents. For babies aged 0-1 years.

The sessions cover:

• Helping your baby and you through pregnancy and birth.
• Getting to know your baby in the womb.
• You, your baby and the stages of labour.
• Helping you and your baby through labour and birth.
• Feeding your baby.
• Practical session, bathing, holding baby, changing a nappy and more.

When:

Starts on 4th March 2025.

5 sessions for you and your birth partner.

Where:

The Beehive, Bishops Place, Paignton, TQ3 3DZ.

5pm-7pm

This is a drop in Well Baby clinic run by our 0 to 19 Torbay health visiting team and takes place every Wednesday, 9:30am-11:30am!

A weekly session with a rolling programme of development and behaviour support for parents. For babies aged 0-1 years.

Peep groups are for mums, dads, carers and their children together, and aim to support families with their children’s early learning in a simple and enjoyable way.

The different elements of a Peep group provide opportunities to have fun together and to share the key ideas that support children’s development. Peep sessions include:

• songs and rhymes
• joint play activities
• a talking time for adults (chatting about an aspect of children’s development)
• story and book-sharing time
• ideas for families to try at home.

A group run by the Torbay Portage Service.

It is a small toddler group offered to parents and their children with special educational needs.

The aims of the group are

• To give parents opportunities to meet one another and the Portage Home Visitors and for staff to get to know families and children.
• For parents to be able to ask questions and share support ideas.
• For children to be able to experience accessible play and learning experiences within a small group.
• For staff members to share play and learning ideas to meet young children’s needs.
