Ramble Club for Baby Week's Wellbeing Wednesday

Join us for a wellbeing walk and a chance to talk whilst taking in the views of our beautiful green and blue spaces across Torbay with your little ones.

Whether you’d like an opportunity to make new friends, catch up with old ones or are looking for some information and peer support, Ramble Club’s got you covered.

Portage Workshop - A Small Steps Approach to Learning for Children with SEN

Session 1/3

This is a certificated training course delivered by National Portage Association Accredited Trainers.  You will need to attend all the sessions to meet the standards.

The Portage Workshop is an introduction to the Portage Approach to working with children with additional needs and their families. The workshop is suitable for anyone interested in finding out more about the Portage model, including early years practitioners, therapists and parents.  The NPA has set standards for minimum workshop content and length.

Target Audience: Early Years Practitioners, SENCOs, Parents/carers

    A virtual 10 minute drop-in for parents of children 3 and under and professionals who are concerned about their speech, language, and communication development.

    All families will be given advice and/or ideas to try at home.

    • The therapist will see that you are in the waiting area and will join the video room when they are ready.
    • Please be aware there may be a wait for you to be seen dependent on the number of people trying to access the drop-in at a time.

    The themes of the group during term times will change weekly, with this order being followed:
    1. Exploratory Play
    2. Physical Fun
    3. Messy Play
    4. Explore a Story
    5. Yoga

    No need to book, just drop in.

    This session is aimed at children aged 1 and over.

    During the school holidays, we will run one these sessions within the community.

    We would love to hear some feedback on your experiences of the new group. When you attend, please speak to a member of staff to share your thoughts.

    Understanding Your Child – Solihull Approach

    10 week course starting on 26th September, running on Fridays from 9:30am – 11:30am at Parkfield House, Paignton, TQ3 2NH.

    This is a course for all parents, grandparents and carers of children aged 6 months to 6 years, covering topics such as:
    – Feelings
    – Importance of Play
    – Effective Communication
    – Developmental Needs
    – Challenging Behaviour
    – Sleep
