Education, Health and Care plans (EHCPs) must be reviewed at least annually to ensure that the parents, the pupil, us, the school and all the professionals involved with the child or young person monitor and evaluate the continued effectiveness and relevance of the provision set out in the EHCP.
Schools and other educational settings usually involved within the Annual Review process by holding an Annual Review meeting and providing the Local Authority (LA) with the relevant paperwork, which the LA then use to decide whether the EHCP needs to be maintianed (stay the same), be amemnded (updated to reflect changes), or ceased (ended as it is no longer needed).
