Our Feed and Nurture Group is a welcoming space for parents and carers to connect, share, and receive Baby Friendly support.
Whether you’re expecting your first baby or caring for a newborn or toddler, the Feed and Nurture Groups at Best Start Family Hub- Torquay: St. Edmunds is here for you. These free, drop-in group offers a relaxed and supportive environment where you can get expert advice on infant feeding and meet other local families.
Our trained Infant Feeding Peer Supporters are on hand to offer friendly, non-judgmental guidance on all aspects of baby feeding—including breastfeeding, bottle-feeding, and combination feeding. Whether you have questions, concerns, or just want reassurance, we’re here to help.
Parenting can feel overwhelming at times, but you’re not alone. This group is a great opportunity to meet other parents, share experiences, and build a supportive network in your local community.
Whether you’re a first-time parent or have older children, everyone is welcome. The group is suitable for:

For Antenatal Mums 20+ weeks and their birth partners who live in Torbay.
The sessions cover:
– Helping your baby and you through pregnancy and birth.
– Getting to know your baby in the womb.
– You, your baby and the stages of labour.
– Helping you and your baby through labour and birth.
– Feeding your baby.
– Practical session, bathing, holding baby, changing a nappy and more.

What is PEEP?
Peep supports all parents and carers with children from pregnancy to school, in encouraging their child’s learning and development. You can make a real difference just by talking, playing, singing and sharing books together. Come along – you can your baby or child can make friends, share ideas and activities, and have fun…
In the group you will get
They’re all free or low-cost, and easy to fit into day-to-day life, and they’ll all help your baby or child’s learning.

Join us for a fun Little Explorers session, packed with activities designed to support your child’s learning, development, and wellbeing. Children will have the opportunity to enjoy a variety of activities, including exploratory play, physical fun, messy play, stories, and movement.
