    FREE CONCESSIONS for residents and workers in Devon

    This is session 1

    What does the course cover?

    • Reasons for suicidal thoughts and influential factors
    • Understanding potential barriers to help seeking
    • Recognising when someone may be experiencing thoughts of suicide
    • Suicide interventions
    • Identifying potential risks and working with the individual to develop a personalised SafePlan

    Am I eligible for this course?

    • This course is only available to those aged 16 or above who are currently living and/or working in Devon.
    • This is an entry-level course; no previous training or experience is required.

    Is this course right for me?

    • If you have been recently impacted by suicide or experienced thoughts of suicide yourself, we would not recommend you attending at this time – further training opportunities will be available.
    • Whilst this is an entry-level course, it is intensive. To complete the course, delegates will need to attend the course in full, which includes participation in suicide intervention roleplays.

    What happens next?

    • After booking your ticket, a place on the course will be reserved for you and you will receive a confirmation email from Eventbrite allowing you to add the event to your electronic calendar.
    • A couple days before your course, you will receive an email from training@petesdragons.org.uk containing the joining instructions for your session. If you would benefit from receiving this email earlier, please let us know.
