SEND resources for parents and carers


Whole School SEND provides free information and resources to help parents and carers work in partnership with schools and education settings. The guides help families understand SEND support, prepare for key transition points and build positive conversations about their child’s needs and support.

  • Advice on building positive relationships with education settings
  • Questions to help parents and carers prepare for meetings with schools
  • Information about returning to school after a period of absence
  • Guidance on preparing for transitions, including moving on from Year 11
  • Resources to support successful transitions into further education and adulthood
  • Toolkits to support co-production and partnership working between families and professionals

Resources can be downloaded and used at any time.

How to access

Visit the Whole School SEND website and download the resources that are relevant to your family. No referral is needed.
