A special and imaginative weekly musical playgroup for Early Years children and their childminders, parents or carers at Paignton Library. Co-hosted by Moor to Sea Music and Doorstep Arts, we offer a safe space for a parent or childminder to relax or join in with the fun, whilst children immerse themselves in musical play led by experienced Early Years practitioners.

Little Squirrels Torquay is a Community Interest Company runs a series of indoor groups with the aim of bringing together children up to 5 years old to have a play with carefully curated wooden, natural toys and loose parts for imaginative play. Parents/carers are free to join and we hope that they will find support and friendship with other parents.
A family event that takes place once a month on the third Friday and begins right after school. There is almost a one hour menu of crafts, cookery and creative work, then a short all-together worship experience, followed by supper together. You will be most welcome, but children do need to be accompanied by an adult. There is no charge but donations towards the meal would be welcome.
A church run baby and toddler group. A relaxing place to meet together and enjoy a chat. Offer fun themed craft activities, with a large assortment of toys, including trikes, ride on cars and a playhouse, sessions end with actions songs and rhymes time. The Music with Mummy programme will take your child on a musical journey from birth until they go to school. The structured weekly music classes are designed to encourage listening and social skills and develop a sense of rhythm to help with learning and speech and language development. The fabulous music and songs are a mixture of traditional tunes and songs unique to our delightful programme. Watch your child grow in confidence as they come each week and take part in our small friendly classes.
We are a friendly group for parents or carers, with pre-school children. The group meets each Wednesday morning during term time in the Cross Link Hall. The cost is 50p per family, which includes refreshments. Our sessions include a craft activity and a time of singing.
We are a busy community church with a range of activities covering all ages, including Messy Church, house groups, a youth group, parent and toddlers, prayer meeting, ladies fellowship and a high quality coffee shop which is open every weekday morning.
Toddler and Parent Group
We are open on Wednesday mornings only from 9.30am until 11.30am (term time only). We are situated at St Andrew’s Methodist Church on Exe Hill, Shiphay, Torquay. We offer a varied choice of play, including craft, stories and singing. We have a snack time around 10.30am, when children are given biscuits and fruit. Adults can also have tea/coffee and biscuits. The group is for babies to the term children start school. It is currently £1.50 a session and 50p for every additional child coming with the same adult. Adults are responsible for their children at all times.

The Torbay Portage Service would like to offer parents and their children with special educational needs an opportunity to attend a small toddler group. The group aims to reflect the Portage Principles.
The Torbay Special Needs Playscheme operates every school holiday except Bank holidays. All children attending have severe to profound physical and/or learning disabilities. The Saturday club operates every Saturday. We have a younger group for 5 to 12 years and an older group for 12 to 17 years and these operate on alternate Saturdays. All the groups are run from Brunel Academy (formally Torbay School).

The Geoplay Park is divided into 4 areas - for different age groups and different play experiences. These 4 areas also tell the story of the four critical geological time periods in Torbay’s history. The park is located on Paignton Sands so it also has all the amenities the beach has to offer including a café/restaurant, pier, promenade, crazy golf, and donkey rides on the green behind the beach.
A fishing club with a large number of competitions, eight skittles teams on our own alley, licensed bar, pool team and two darts teams. Junior sea anglers from 5 years old to 16 years old.

The Sea Cadet Corps is a nationwide voluntary uniformed youth organisation, open to all young people aged 12 to 18, Marine Cadets for young people aged 13 to 18 and with Junior Sections open to those of 10 to 12 years of age. It is Britain's most successful nautical organisation for the development of young people with Units run by enthusiastic adult volunteers. The remit of the Sea Cadets is to provide fun, friendship, adventure and learning new skills based on waterborne and land based activities.

Forest School is the answer for those parents and teachers who recognise that learning outdoors is a deeply nurturing and stimulating experience for their children. It also contributes directly to many areas of the National Curriculum.
A day out for the whole family. An all weather attraction with 40 acres to explore outside and over 2 acres to enjoy under cover, with a wide variety of animals, play areas, steam engines, vintage vehicles, train rides and more.
Devon Torbay YAC is open to everyone aged 8–16 years. YAC clubs get involved in all sorts of activities, including visiting and investigating archaeological sites and historic places, trying out traditional crafts, taking part in excavations, and lots more.
Centre located off Lummaton Cross. This is a multi purpose sports hall with facilities for five aside football, short tennis, unihoc, basketball and table-tennis. A smaller dance hall is available for hire. A kitchen and room also available for meetings. Kents Cavern is a prehistoric cave and award winning visitor attraction. The site was used by Britain’s earliest ancient humans thousands of years ago and today the cave is the only underground visitor centre in the UNESCO Global Geopark, a protected national monument and an internationally renowned prehistoric show cave.
Lupton House is a Grade II* listed building set in beautiful parkland. The House has a long and interesting history with the first records dating back to the Doomsday survey of 1086.
Mayfield School offers use of its disabled access playground during school holidays. It has a wheelchair friendly swing, roundabout and play ramp and is supervised by 2 members of staff. Changing facilities and tea and coffee are available. This is available for children from any school, family or playgroup provided children are accompanied by an adult.
Movie Mania is on the second Saturday of every month with free entry which also includes a free drink for both children and adults and free popcorn, movies are shown on a big screen for full cinema effect. A tuck shop is available with sweets for sale at pocket money prices. Everyone is welcome to these friendly events, with over 50 children regularly attending. Throughout the year large events are run such as at Christmas and Halloween.

Experience the great days of steam travel with a return journey behind one of our steam locomotives on our steeply graded line between Paignton and Kingswear, with its glorious coast and river views. Combine a steam train ride with a short trip on our ferry across the River Dart from Kingswear to Dartmouth. Spend a day or half day exploring this beautiful old town with its fascinating buildings, river life, shops, restaurants and pubs.

Probus is a club for men who are retired or semi-retired. It is a non-political, non-religious group. Its aim is to provide a range of speakers and topics and fellowship. The club meets every Thursday with the meeting starting at 10:30. free refreshments available from 9.30 to 10.15.

It is Britain's most successful nautical organisation for the development of young people with Units run by enthusiastic adult volunteers. LiNX Christian Youth Trust is a dynamic and innovative Christian faith based youth work organisation that has been working with the young people of Torbay for over 15 years. We enable Torbay young people to reach their full potential through our work in secondary schools and within the local community.
After school drop in cafe for young people in partnership with Paignton Baptist Church. There are games, people to chat to and milkshakes for a small charge.
Movie Mania is on the second Saturday of every month with free entry which also includes a free drink for both children and adults and free popcorn, movies are shown on a big screen for full cinema effect. A tuck shop is available with sweets for sale at pocket money prices. Everyone is welcome to these friendly events, with over 50 children regularly attending. Throughout the year large events are run such as at Christmas and Halloween.
On Thursdays, we deliver weekly drop in music sessions alongside; regular Live Music events, audio recording and music video making opportunities in our very own recording facility.
Ripples youth club provides young people in Paignton town centre a safe place to hang out, play table games, IT games, get involved in sports and activities as well as and get involved in discussions, circus skill sessions, disco etc and will be arranging drama, craft and cooking sessions. Situated in Gerston Chaple Community Hall the club is run by church helpers who are all DBS (CRB) checked, the club welcomes all young people from the area.
