Assessing and reviewing via Individualised Education Plans (IEPs) or EHCP outcomes

Individualised Education Plans should measure progress towards short term outcomes, and these should be reviewed on at least a termly basis. If a student is receiving SEN support or has an EHCP then they should have an IEP to measure progress against short term targets.

EHCP outcomes in most cases will be longer term outcomes that should be achievable by the end of a key stage or phase of education. Usually there will be an IEP or implementation plan that breaks down the longer-term outcomes into shorter achievable targets.
