In Torbay we have some clubs which are aimed specifically for children and young people with SEND, whilst encouraging all activity and childcare providers to be inclusive and as accessible as possible. How inclusive a mainstream activity or club can be will depend on the complexity of your child or young persons’ individual needs.

If your child has any specific interests it is always worth while contacting specific activity providers to see if they can accommodate your child or young persons’ individual needs.

So, you might want to look at:

• Early Years Childcare, which includes registered childminders who may be also able to look after primary and/or secondary aged children and / or young people
• Wraparound and holidays, which includes before and after school clubs as well as holiday clubs
• Activities, which covers a wide range of specific areas of interest
