Forest School is the answer for those parents and teachers who recognise that learning outdoors is a deeply nurturing and stimulating experience for their children. It also contributes directly to many areas of the National Curriculum.

Forest School is essentially an outdoor classroom. Led by Qualified Forest School leaders, it provides a place for nature-based learning and the opportunity for regular structured visits to a woodland site. Each visit involves specific tasks and activities through which children learn and develop a range of personal and social skills that equip them for life. It also provides an opportunity for them to experience and develop a relationship with the natural world.

WildWise has set up a Forest School on the Dartington Estate, Devon, providing a unique resource for teachers. Please get in touch to discuss how your school may get involved.
