SEN Information

Our nursery includes a dedicated calm space designed to offer a calm, supportive space where children can regulate their emotions, build confidence, and receive focused, individualised attention. The nursery is equipped with a wide range of sensory toys, soft furnishings, and therapeutic resources that help children explore safely, develop self-awareness, and feel grounded throughout the day. This environment is especially valuable for children with additional needs, giving them a quiet, responsive space to reset, engage, and thrive as part of our inclusive approach.

Our team is trained to provide high-quality support for children with special educational needs and disabilities, ensuring every child can access learning in a way that works for them. Staff receive ongoing training in areas such as communication support, sensory processing, behaviour regulation, and early intervention strategies, allowing us to respond confidently and consistently to a wide range of needs. We follow a clear, support process when additional help is required, working closely with families and external professionals to identify needs early, put tailored strategies in place, and review progress regularly. This joined-up approach ensures each child receives the right support at the right time, helping them feel secure, understood, and able to flourish within our inclusive nursery community.
