I am the only Ofsted registered Childminder based at The Willows. I offer a ‘Home from Home’ service, where your child can thrive, in a warm, safe and stimulating environment.

I have 30 Years experience of caring and working with children of all ages. I have enjoyed working with children in school settings, (both mainstream and special needs), in private and local authority nurseries, family centres and hospitals. 

I aim to provide an environment in which all children, including those with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), are supported to reach their full potential. I achieve this through working in partnership with parent/carers and their child to provide family centred support, alongside outside agencies if required. All children have different needs and I will endeavour to make sure every child’s individual needs are met.

I have many years experience of SEND, both professionally and personally and feel passionate about inclusion. Over the years, I have attended various training sessions, including most recently, Understanding Autism Level 2 and Dingley’s Promise, making me an inclusion friendly setting. Where necessary, I will update training and seek advice from other professionals in order to provide quality care. Early support is essential for children that are not meeting their developmental milestones, therefore I follow the relevant guidance and legislation in place to enable me to provide the best service for them. 

I live with my 12 Year old son, who attends St Cuthbert Mayne School. I like to provide care to no more than 3 children at any one time (including my son when he is not at school), so some of the care offered will be on a one-one basis.

Fees are set to include everything your child will need whilst in my care, all meals, trips, toiletries and activities etc.

I can offer occasional overnight care.

I have all appropriate training, insurances and references in place for your peace of mind and am registered with all the appropriate authorities, such as Ofsted and Environmental Health.

Qualifications and Training: Qualified N.N.E.B Nursery Nurse, Level 3 in Childcare. Paediatric First Aid Certificate, Access to Childminding in Torbay, Food Hygiene, Food Safety, Child Protection, Portage, Supporting young children with S.E.N, Early Years Foundation Stage in Practice, Makaton.
