I am an NNEB qualified nursery nurse, I have worked as a nanny and with physically disabled adults, working as a senior care worker. I have great experience having cared for my sister with special needs following a brain injury, including giving daily kidney dialysis.
We have three of our own children aged 16,13 and 9. And we love our golden retriever dog, budgie and fish.
We enjoy indoor and outdoor play, going out and learning about the world around us. We enjoy visits to local parks, library, toddler groups, Paignton Zoo, beaches, museums, local events and country walks. We love messy play, crafts and baking.
Due to moving to our new house a year ago, we are re designing the back garden to make it a child friendly space for outdoor learning and play.
Qualifications and Training: NNEB, Special Needs Awareness Training in Inclusive Practice, Food Safety & Hygiene Level 2, CACHE – Introduction to Home Based Childcare Practice, Paediatric First Aid, Introduction to Child Protection. Regularly undertakes training with Torbay Early Years and keeps up to date with Childminder forums.
