Positive praise

Using positive praise with your child will build their self-esteem and confidence. It may also help with behaviour issues they might be experiencing.

Here are some phrases you can try:

  • That’s incredible / That’s so exciting.
  • Beautiful work / Well done.
  • Good choice / Great sharing.
  • I love how you did that.
  • Super work / High five!
  • Fantastic job / You’re fantastic.
  • What a good listener.
  • You got it just right / Nicely done.
  • You are so much fun.
  • I’m proud of you.
  • Well done for trying / You tried so hard.
  • Magnificent / Marvellous / Terrific.
