Oakwood is a specialist college.

At Dawlish we provide learning programmes for around 80 learners, a small number of whom enjoy the residential experience in our onsite shared property, and in single and shared flats and houses in the nearby area.

We also have a lot of learners out on work experience – in fact almost every learner at Dawlish goes out at least once a week to a workplace.  We have some great work opportunities here – with learners working in cafe chains and retail, and we have some relationships with some big employers  like English Heritage and supermarkets. We are really close to Exeter too so there are lots of opportunities  for learners to find a placement they are excited about.
