Indigos go wild is Torbay’s oldest community adventure playground
Perched on a hillside in Brixham, right next to Chestnut Primary School’s playing field in Summercombe, Indigos is a place to build dens, slide, swing, toast marshmallows on a fire and generally ‘hang out’. We have a Playpod stuffed full of recycled ‘playable’ materials, a clay oven and a compost toilet when needed!
We are friends with the Brixham Family Group, the Brixham YES and YOUNG BRIXHAM and often run Community Parties with them on the land, in the BFG Garden and the school playing field. Please befriend us on Facebook: Play Torbay and Indigos Go Wild to make sure you don’t miss any events!
Indigos Adventure Playground is a fun, natural and stimulating adventure play space. It has an interesting energy that lends itself well to all manner of play types. The project was inspired by the young people when they transformed a fly tipping site into a special place with magical essence. No one could have predicted the journey Indigos and its young people have taken all those years ago.
In the spring of 2014 Indigos Go Wild became the first quality assured adventure playground in the whole of the South West – come and see why…
Indigos is set on a scrap of land adjacent to Chestnut Primary School. The entrance to Indigos is on Packhall Lane leading to Maple Drive.
