A Saturday drama group for children aged 3-6 to develop original theatre, play games, and explore the reaches of their imagination with drama.
Little Doorstep is our youngest entry-level group, perfect for children who have never done drama before, or who would like to try out a session for the first time. These sessions are gentle and imaginative, led by the children’s curiosity and innate ability to play.
Doorstep is a grant-subsidised organisation, funded by Arts Council England, and this enables us to provide Saturday Drama at a low session rate for families. Taster sessions are possible, for £5 (if you choose to carry on, this will be deducted from the termly fee).
£60 per term

Doorstep Arts Studio Courses (DAS) are termly courses to support children & young people to develop performance skills, including acting, singing, dance, and music. Doorstep Lead Artist Polly Ferguson-Carruthers, a musical theatre specialist, leads all DAS courses.
We focus on teaching singing, dancing and acting in a very gentle, young person-led way. Like all of our groups, we want our young people to have creative choice and freedom within the sessions while learning specific MT tools. It’s important young people know why they don’t have to be an ‘incredible’ dancer/singer/actor to join DAS. We meet each child where they are and hope we can support each child on their own individual journey.

A Saturday drama group for children aged 7-14 to develop original theatre, make friends, play games, and explore the reaches of their imagination with drama.
This group is hugely imaginative, they love to write their own plays and make up their own stories, devise original material and compose original music. This group is recommended for children interested in writing, design, acting, devising/improvisation, technical theatre, or making. It’s a great foundation group for young people who aspire to audition for Doorstep Youth Theatre.
