Service personnel/families may relocate more than the rest of the population sometimes, at short notice. These transitions should be well managed to avoid Service children or young people with Special Educational Needs and/or Disabilities (SEND) experiencing delays in having their needs assessed and met.

If you are a Service family moving into the area with a child or young person who has an Education, Health and Care plan (EHCP), a Co-ordinated Support Plan or a Statement of Special Educational Needs, you will need to contact your current or home local authority as set in Moving to or from Torbay with a child or young person with SEND and the Children’s Education Advisory Service (CEAS)
