Acorn Alternative Provision

Acorn Alternative Provision School is a charitable organisation dedicated to serving young people at
the fringes of mainstream education. Our mission is to deliver educational programmes and
interventions in small, therapeutic learning environments across the UK. Our needs-led curriculum
focuses on closing gaps in English (including reading), maths, and personal development learning,
while our passionate and committed staff help students develop their character and academic skills,
ensuring improved opportunities for their future.

We run 2, 3 and 4 day programmes based on each student’s individual needs.

We work with young people aged 11-16 who are disengaging from or at risk of exclusion from
mainstream education. Students at Acorn Alternative Provision may face challenges such as:

  • Unmet social, emotional, or learning needs in school
  • Mental health difficulties
  • School refusal or phobia

Our programmes are designed to equip students with the skills and strategies they need to reintegrate
and succeed in school, as well as to earn qualifications that serve as stepping stones towards further
learning.

Alternative provision is only arranged as part of an educational package via school’s or the Local Authority.
