Welcome to Baby Week Torbay 2024, our 2nd year of being part of baby week. This years activities are taking place 14 – 20 November 2024 so save the date!
Baby Week Torbay is a celebration of babies, and a chance to put them – and all the people who care for them – in the spotlight. Find out more about how Baby Week came to the UK from Brazil, starting in Leeds in 2016 and has grown ever since. Find out more here at Baby Week UK

Our mission in Torbay is to:
- Promote Close and Loving Relationships: To underscore the importance of nurturing bonds between parents, caregivers, and infants as the foundation for healthy development.
- Raise Awareness: We’re committed to spreading the word about essential services available to families. From prenatal care to early childhood development, we want parents and caregivers to be informed advocates for their little ones.
- Engage the Community: To actively involve local community groups, early years settings, and families in Baby Week Torbay, fostering a supportive environment for young families.
- Celebrate Together: Baby Week Torbay is all about having fun, celebrating milestones, big and small. From baby steps to major achievements, we’re here to cheer you on!
- Make every day special with your little one: play, talk, and read together to build a loving, connected bond.
- Build close and loving relationships that helps keep you and your baby feel happy and connected.
- Feeding your baby is a special time to interact, nurture and nourish your baby. Value this special time with them.

How to get involved with Baby Week Torbay
I’d like to organise my own Baby Week Torbay event
All Baby Week specific events will be included in the Baby Week UK website events timetable under Torbay. If you’d like to organise an event for inclusion in this year’s programme, click here to add your event.
Events should be open for anyone to attend, free of charge, and fit with this year’s theme of Best Start in Life, promoting close and loving relationships and how it benefits babies’ development, health and wellbeing. The deadline for submissions is 4th October.
- By organising an event in Baby Week you will receive a free Baby Week pack with posters to promote your event, baby week bunting, baby week bookmarks for your families, information and to share with your families and more – all aimed at bringing a bit of Baby Week Torbay direct to your own setting (please note, your details will only be used by Torbay Family Hubs for the purposes of sending this pack and will not be passed on to anyone else). Packs will be posted out towards the end of October.
