DESCRIPTION:Day 1 of 2\n\nThis is a certificated training course delivered 
 by a Makaton Charity Accredited Trainer.\n\nThe Makaton Part 1 workshop co
 nsists of 2 modules. This course is aimed at people who have an interest i
 n communication\, who would like to know about Makaton and learn the signs
  and symbols for Stages 1 and 2 of the Core Vocabulary. You will required 
 to purchase a workshop manual (£25.00 which will be ordered for you when 
 you book your place)\, which includes signs and symbols that you have lear
 ned. You will also be given a Certificate of Attendance. Please remember t
 o keep your certificate in case you want to attend further training.\nNo p
 revious experience of Makaton is required to attend this course.\n\nLearni
 ng Objectives:\nBy the end of this course learners will be able to:\n\n 	u
 se Makaton signs and symbols to enhance communication skills for young chi
 ldren.\n 	apply Makaton Core Vocabulary Stages 1-2 to support communicatio
 n in different settings.\n 	develop an understanding of the Makaton langua
 ge program and confidently use it in everyday situations at home and at wo
